Suzanne Hussey is a landscape painter who works in oils and acrylics from her home studio at MapleRidge Farm, Wilton, Ontario, and from her summer studio at Silver Birch Lodge, Hawk Lake, Quebec.
Suzanne studied Fine Arts and Psychology at the University of Ottawa in the1970s. Throughout her working career, she kept her interests in art alive through training and practice in music, weaving, stained glass and painting. Suzanne's interest in painting began to dominate in the 1990’s as she furthered her training at the Ottawa School of Art and studied landscape painting with one of Canada’s foremost landscape painters, David W. Jones.
In 2013, Suzanne completed the Foundations and Level I Artist-Educator professional training with the Royal Conservatory
School's Learning Through the Arts Program sponsored by the Ontario Arts Council.
In January 2019, Suzanne attended renowned American landscape painter Peter Fiore's workshop in Milford, Pennsylvania.
Suzanne’s work has been donated for charitable auctions and has sold privately and at art shows and exhibitions.
